Home Coffee Machine Repairs?

The world of home coffee machines has exploded over the last few years & accelerated largely by the pandemic in 2020. Whilst coffee shops & espresso bars took the hit the money saved for an average coffee drinking commuter would have been as much as £400.00 per year & if you share a household with another coffee lover you could find an extra £800.00 in your pockets every year.

Now depending on your needs, budget & level of obsession the home machine can pay for itself within 12 months & continue to serve you for years to come whilst looking beautiful in your home.

The flip side to the pandemic was the irreversible damage done to the national servicing companies that hold the contracts & responsibility to repair your equipment. To service a commercial / domestic contract nationally they would require a large amount of technicians reacting to the breakdowns & warranty repairs raised by the manufacturer, if you take the average wage in the UK for a field service engineer the call out numbers need to be pretty high in order to warrant the technicians salary (which they were not during lockdown).

So naturally redundancies occurred & companies went bust which left a big void of companies that can service these contracts whilst meeting SLA’s, so its the customer who is paying the price for extremely long waiting time for reactive coffee technicians to attend any breakdowns that need rectifying, add to this the supply chain backlog & limited parts in the UK it can be extremely frustrating waiting for your machine to be repaired.

So I opened the workshop to anyone who is willing to travel to us, if you have a home coffee machine that needs repairing & are stuck for service support then give us a call on 01225436171 & arrange a visit to The Coffee Lobby HQ in Wiltshire, we will happily check over your machine & give you a free diagnosis with advice on how to proceed.

We often repair coffee machines during the inspecting process so you may go away a happy customer, whilst you wait you can test drive some of our second hand professional home machines & try the latest specialty coffee the local roasters have to offer. Our latte art skills need a lot of work but if you are interested in coffee & the basics around extraction then you may just learn a thing or two.
